Buddy Hartlaub is originally from Hughesville, PA. He joined the Army Reserve in 1986 as an 11B (Infantry), and in 1991, went on Active Duty as a 13F (Forward Observer). His awards include the Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB), the Master Parachutist Badge, the Ranger Tab, the Air Assault Badge, the Meritorious Service Medal, and the Bronze Star. His assigned units include 1st and 3rd Ranger Battalions, 101st Airborne Division, and Army Space and Missile Defense Command. He retired in 2011 as a First Sergeant.
